While walking his rottweiler, Malcolm, along the Fort Lauderdale ocean front
strip in the summer of 1995, Jonathan Lewis, the founder of ABC, realized
that there had to be a better way to hydrate his dog on these long walks than
carrying around that cumbersome gallon jug of water.
Hence, the idea for COOL DOG® Canine Hydration Formula
was

After acquiring an additional eight years of quality
department
experience in the medical product manufacturing industry, Mr. Lewis formed
Animal Business Concepts (ABC), LLC
and established a
strategic partnership
with the current
worldwide leader in
the development and
manufacturing of
quality assured
pediatric electrolyte
solutions and human
pharmaceutical products.
This partnership allowed
ABC to begin developing
products for its first line of fortified pet beverages, the COOL PET® Hydration
Formulas, using
the quality driven
principles of human
medical product
manufacturing versus the
lower level of quality
typically seen in the
manufacturing of "pet
